Overview:
The African-American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) of Philadelphia, New Jersey and Delaware is the leading private sector advocate for black-owned businesses in the Delaware Valley and represents the interests of such businesses in public and private sector forums. The Chamber also offers management and technical assistance programs to improve the effectiveness of black-owned businesses in the region. The Chamber's purpose is to enhance the growth and effectiveness of African-American owned businesses in the Delaware Valley, thereby improving economic conditions throughout the region. Membership is open to any business, church, non-profit organization or agency committed to advocating for collective African-American businesses in southeastern Pennsylvania, Southern New Jersey and Delaware. The AACC has assembled an array of services to address operational and human resource issues and to assist both start-ups and mature enterprises improve their bottom lines. These benefits include, but are not limited to: advocacy, management/technical assistance seminars, networking events, contract identification, group health benefits plans, insurance/bonding programs and advertising. Active committees work to assist members in a number of areas including: tax reform, information technology, contractors, membership, retail, event planning and micro business owner services.
