Overview:
The Bucks County International Trade Council was founded by five chambers of commerce (Pennridge, Upper Bucks, Central Bucks, Lower Bucks, Warminster), two colleges (Bucks County Community College, Delaware Valley College) and the County Commissioners to serve the international trade interests of small and medium sized companies within Bucks County.    This is accomplished through direct counseling, market research, educational seminars and other programs.

In 2002 the County Commissioners gave BCITC the responsibility of promoting the Port of Bucks.    This large bulk cargo facility is one of the 100 largest ports in the United States and accounts for 10% of steel imports.

The mission of the BCITC is to promote international trade by educating Bucks County businesses in opening or expanding American and foreign trade, and in increasing employment in Bucks County through added imports and exports.    The Council will facilitate exchange by coordinating resources expertise available through chambers of commerce, educational organizations, business, government, and financial sources.
